Cabin Trip

Before we were going to have our baby we had to go up to the cabin a couple times.... So we invited our friends Summer and Jeff to come up with us. It was a quick trip and for the most part pretty relaxing aside from our busiest helper!! (who pulled a late night on us in refusing to sleep!)

This was Kelli up at "lookout point".... discovering the fun of blowing these things. I don't know what they are called other than a weed and of coarse making a wish when we blow! How fun is that... Kelli cleared the area but they'll be more later!! She had so much fun up there... This was only about 2 hours after we had got there and her face was filthy!!! She loved playing in the dirt and picking up the rocks!
This is the view from "lookout point." Once you walk up the drive way and out from the trees this is one of the amazing views that you see. Its so fun and beautiful up there!

Danny choppin' wood! Whata man...

One of the very few family pictures that we have. I'm always behind the camera...(I like it that way... but Summer insisted on taking a pic)

Family Night

For family night we decided to do a quick 'ice cream run'..... which is of coarse MY personal favorite activity and its just so wonderful that my daughter enjoys ice cream ALMOST as much as me! She had a chocolate cone from Neilsons Frozen Custard and did pretty good with not making too much of a mess.... especially since we were eating it in the car! She ate every OUNCE of that icecream!

Messy?? Naw..... its all worth it when it comes to such a delicious treat. It was only a few wet wipes to get her looking clean again!

New Olympic Sport

On Sunday we went to my parents house for dinner and Thomas and Kelli decided to go ICE SKATING in the kitchen. Thomas informed us that he watched a movie on it that taught him how to ice skate. (Amber has no idea what he's talking about!!) Don't worry though, Thomas made sure they took all the safety percautions that were necessary..... like wearing a helmet!

This picture is of Kelli putting on her ''ice skates" while Thomas found her a helmet.

Thomas making the rounds in the kitchen.
Thomas trying to decide.... "do I want the green helmet? or the clear helmet?"
And for all you people who have eaten at my parents house.... we never use the tupperware unless we rinse it out first.... and you can see why..... toes and dirty feet and hair in your food?? GROSS! So rest assure... that when we prepare food it was cleaned out!!

*Side Note: This was actually a very dangerious sport and from my mom cooking there were a few slippery spots on the floor and Thomas biffed it every time! But we were all laughing.... after words Thomas would stand up and say, "sometimes when you ice skate you fall!" (He's trying to save face!!)

Volleyball Tourney

This weekend Danny and our friend Jeff played in a outdoor grass volleyball tourney. They were a little worried about the fact that neither had played competitive volleyball for a few years but they did pretty good! They could hardly walk the next few days but they played their hardest!

Danny serving the ball.

Soak up the sun

Kelli soakin' up the sun and relaxing while watching Daddy play volleyball.

SOOO thirsty!
Maybe getting a little tired? She could barely keep her eyes open and she wants to be able to go out and play with her daddy! There were some guys that were nice enough to let us sit under their tent thing from the sun. Which helped a LOT!

It's My Birthday!

Danny and Kelli cooking mom her favorite cake with the delicious frosting that I could eat straight out of the container.

Danny is thrilled that our daughter loves to cook and she loves to be so involved while we are doing anything cooking related. She always wants her chair pulled up to the counter and she insists on adding some ingredients. Danny is so patient!!

I had a great birthday this year! Anytime that you get to be with your family is awesome and to top it off we also celebrated Fathers Day! The best part was on my birthday seeing my husband and daughter cooking me my favorite birthday cake!

Farmington Pool

We went to Farmington Pool with all the kids. It was a lot of fun. We wanted to go and do some fun things before Ryan and Amber and the boys leave for Scotland for Ryans intern. Kelli hated this play area cause a little boys sprayed her and the water is like below freezing, I kid-you-not. So she wouldn't let Ryan let her go til they were out of the area!

Thomas, Lyza, and Sami making big plans for their next adventure!

The play area that Kelli is scared of.... cause of freezing temps.

Kelli surfacing for a quick snack before going back out. It was surprizing pretty empty for it being Farmington Pool.

Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Fathers Day!

Kelli and Danny laying down at the park.

Kelli and Danny playing baseball. Look at that arm! She's not a lefty like her mom.

This years Fathers Day probably wasn't the best for Danny.. the whole weekend Kelli and I were both sick. (which is never a good feeling when you're about 7 months prego and can't eat) But the morning of Fathers Day Kelli assisted me in making Danny a lovely breakfast and then we went up to my parents house that evening for a fathers day party! It was so much fun to have such amazing fathers surrounding us. From Danny, to all of my brothers, to my OWN amazing father, and of coarse the best example my Grandpa. We missed being able to spend time with Danny's family since they live in Cali but we missed them greatly and hope that we can go there soon. While at my parents house Danny and I took Kelli for a walk and then to the park to hang out. She had so much fun and she's getting so big I can't even believe how much she is learning and talking and talking BACK! Which is something I could do without!

Quick Trip to the Cabin

Picture of a Moose---through the sliding glass door.

We had our week to the cabin come up so we decided to make it an Mountain Auto Broker trip! It was a lot of fun and of coarse my camera died after the first picture that we took.... which is of this moose! The first morning I woke up for my 6 o'clock snack because I felt like I was STARVING and hadn't eaten in what felt like months, which in reality had only been about 6 hours. Usually, in the mornings up at the cabin there are lots of deer and moose that come right up to our cabin cause we have a salt lick and stuff for them so its a lot of fun when you get to see them. There was also two deer that were there too but they weren't as big! We missed you Justin and Jennie-next time!
