Random Picnic

So, when we have friends over, we always have the kids sit down on a blanket and have a picnic or if they are watching a movie, they eat popcorn up in my bed and watch a movie.. and Kelli decided to have a picnic right next to our table one night.. no one was over.. she just didn't want to sit with danny and me. To top it off.... she brought down a laundry basket to sit on.. random!

One day when Danny got home from work, he took Kelli outside, and they played with balls and a hula hoop. Which was hilarious... Danny would roll the hula hoop and Kelli would try and run through it. The majority of the time she did which was quite impressive. Josie and I stayed inside.. cause although snow wasn't falling, it was stinkin' cold outside..

Is there something in my teeth?

Wow, this was random... She had just got out of the bath to go to bed and she came in my room laughing so hard... and I turned around and saw this..

It was awesome. I think I liked the fact that she knew she was doing something silly. Good times...

Potty Trained

Kelli is 2 1/2 and is FINALLY potty trained! I can't take too much credit for this because she basically did it herself! I, obviously was there in her ear telling her that she was the ONLY one in a diaper, and that all of her friends were wearing panties... even the ones that weren't potty trained.... i lied and said that they were to get my point across. That Baby JOSIE wore diapers, not BIG SISTERS like Kelli.

You know, a lot of people use different techniques.. and I could never figure out one that would work for me. Family said, "do the sticker chart" but honestly if you know Kelli, she could care less about how many stickers are on a piece of paper... Friends said.."take movies away.." but WHY on earth would I TORTURE myself... (thats my quite time!!!) So, I resorted to her ONE TRUE LOVE.... CHOCOLATE. I have never come across a little girl who would love to just eat truffles, chocolate bars, chocolate anything! She LOVES it. So, I got MY favorite Easter candy.. and bribed away!

SHA-ZAM! 3 days and 1 accident later... potty trained.

(*Her panties have pricessess on them, so I would tell her that you dont PEE on princesses.. or they'd say "ewww gross"..... its funny how things trigger for kids in their little heads!)

6 month Update

I can't believe that Josie is 6 months old already!!! She's grown so fast and has done things so fast... She is honestly the nicest and happiest baby. I've been so lucky to have two sweet children. Josie LOVES and ADORES her big sister, Kelli. And you can see the love that she has for her in her eyes. Its amazing how great of a bond these two have and its bound to get stronger and stronger.

Before Josie was 6 months she's started rolling, and getting up on her hands and knees to try and crawl.. she wants to play with her big sister so bad! She's bound and determined to make it happen so I'm sure it'll be no time and she'll be walking. (darn it!) She laughs at just about anything and dispite almost losing her life on a regular basis, thanks to big sister, she always has a smile on her face. Kelli looks forward to being with Josie so much, and is always concerned if Josie is fussing or crying, even in the mornings, if Josie is crying for me to come get her, Kelli will go climb in the crib with her and sing her songs, and play with her. Its so sweet.

So, Thanks LOVE BUG, for giving us 6 months of "ooo's and Ahhh's," We LOVE you!

Cinder-ellie

At a young age we believe in have our children do chores, and not just any chores, but the kind of chores where, when you look back you think... "why did you make me do that???" and the reason is.."because we told you too..."


Not really, but Kelli decided that she was going to shovel the backyard LAWN... she sees Danny and I shoveling the driveway, and thought to herself, "obviously no one is going to do this, so i better do it.."

That attitude changed quickly when she realized she was getting no where and there was about 7 inches of snow. Plus she got really distracted by the TINY hill of snow, and therefore, gave up on her shoveling duties.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Danny had his 27th Birthday and Kelli was so excited! We got up and made him pancakes, and all the fixins' to go with it. (I made a 2 and a 7 for danny, and kelli needed a 2 as well..) I mainly made regular ones but, ya know..I have some mad pancake making skills. All day long, Kelli talked about how its not a birthday cause we didn't have balloons and stuff.. so we had to go to the store to get them and she colored pictures for him as well. It was a lot of fun to make a cake with her helping and her and I arguing over who got to have the beaters and spoons to lick, but it was still fun!!!
