Sunday Hike

Well, Danny had his 2nd day off of the year last Sunday, and so what I thought was going to be a lazy, relaxing, Sunday afternoon.. turned out to not be that.. Danny wanted to go on a hike... so we took our girls up to hike Adams Canyon.
Kelli walked the entire time, and was running up all the switch backs, and having a good time exercising, and being fit (so she said)... and Josie held her own most of the time.. Danny put her on his shoulders only a couple times, and she walked up the rest of the way! We went up to the bridge, and let them throw rocks in the water, and they were having so much fun.. til the wind started to pick up, and he had to hike back outta there. Josie decided that she was going to RUN down the entire mountain, so Danny and I had to run after the two Lil' monsters. I was worried Josie was going to biff it, but she didn't! She held her own, and was so excited, and was laughing hysterically the whole way down. Here are a few photos from our little adventure.

Sound of Music

For Christmas, my brother in law bought me, 'The Sound of Music".....I happen to put it on one morning, and my children were glued. What 2 year old sits through that long of a movie???? MY TWO YEAR OLD. She is IN LOVE with the movie. She would watch it every day, many times a day, if I'd let her.. (not gonna lie, I have let her on occasion)

She loves it! She can act out all the parts, and her and Kelli will sing along to every song, march, and dance in the movie... These two are hilarious! I have taken video and photos before, but my children hate clothing.. so its probably not appropriate to put those on.. so finally.. Eric and Wes were back up for the weekend, clothing was on.... and we put on their favorite part..
As you can see... Josie knows all the right poses..

Danny was able to take the perfect shot of her.. right near the end of one of her dances..

Ps: Yes I am aware of the clothing my children have on..... but like I said before.. atleast they have clothes ON! We take anything around here!

Dedication and Hard work

This post in LONG OVER DUE but Alas..... I'm finally doing it!

Its titled Dedication and Hard work because that is exactly what went into this. Danny decided to go all in and do the P90X program... he had tried it before, and in the first month lost 25 lbs. but then the holidays came around and he went off it, and gained weight back. A year later, he decided to give it a go again... It involved exercising every single day.. even if it ment waking up at 5 AM to get in his 90 minutes of yoga before work. We followed the diet and he brought his meals to work in tupperwares and over all we have made major LIFE STYLE CHANGES.

All and all... he wanted to be a better dad, to have more energy, and to flat out feel better about himself. The Grand Total of weight loss was 54 pounds and he is now skinnier than he was when we tied the knot over 6 years ago! He runs daily, rides his bike to and from work when its good weather, and is running the Ragnar in southern California in April, and is planning on doing an Ultra Marathon the end of July thats a 50K (and for you AMERICANS who dont measure things with a K on the end.. its 31 miles..) He even won 2nd place in a Kroger Company weight loss challenge. There are over 100,000 Kroger employees. Wahoo Babe! We won a new Ipod Nano.

I'm super proud of him and all that his accomplished. He's a hard worker and always has been, and I'm proud of his decision to lose weight, keep it off, and to keep me and my ice cream eating problems in check.
(before and after photos)

Good job babe! I love you!!! xoxo

SNOW DAY!

We had a major snow storm not too long ago, and we decided to go out with the camera this time, and take some fun photos of the girls sledding. It was Josie's first time really understanding the concept of what was happening and for her to feel completly freaked out while going down hill. She loved it, but once Danny pushed off from the top and started to go down, she'd cover her eyes, keep smiling, and wouldn't open her eyes till they had stopped. Of coarse after, she'd want to do it all over again. Then there is Kelli who runs up there by herself, and gets a running start and jumps on her sled and starts to speed down the hill. Its so funny to see the difference in each other these lil crazy girls of mine, but they are so much fun and at such a fun age!

We also built a HUGE snowman.. infact, there was one next to ours and ours looked like Godzilla. It was huge. The snow was PERFECT and it wasn't too chilly outside either so we were able to sled for a couple hours. Kelli helped roll some of the balls for the snowman.. and Josie followed and ate the snow up behind them.. It was fun to go and do something with Danny before he had to go back to work..

Christmas Dance Recital

Kelli started to take dance this year at good ole' Luv 2 Dance. My nieces have been taking here for like 13 years and i finally joined in.. Miss Shaundee is her teacher... (yes her Aunt Shaundee) and she looks forward to going to class every week. Her cousin Brooklyn is in her class, and cousins Abby and Halle. Its so fun to get together every week and get to talk to my cousins and catch up on things that are going on.. The girls did such a great job and they all looked SO CUTE in their lil' tutu's. Their song was to "Jingle Bells" and it was OH so cute!

As you can tell, she's a little diva in some of her posing pictures, but she LOVES TO DANCE and practices daily, and even taught her 2 year old sister the entire "Jingle Bell" dance. I can't wait for the many more recitals we'll be attending.

ps: it was pretty awesome to go to the Christmas Recital since all of my cousins were basically there.. cause my other niece Samantha danced right after, and my cousins lil' girl is in that class as well.. so we had lots and lots of support there.

6 years

Where the heck has the time gone?!?! I can't believe tomorrow on December 17 I will be celebrating my 6 year anniversay!!! I feel like I should be in my 30's.. not even at my mid twenties! Its gone by so fast. It hasn't been the easiest, but we've gotten through so many things that have brought us closer together.. not only as a couple but as friends. That will be the "sappy-ist" thing I'm going to say cause I hate it when people go on and on about how wonderful and blissful life is.. because we all know.. thats just not true! Life is hard.. marriage is hard... raising children is hard... finding a job is hard... but all those hard things, are the things that make you stronger as a person, couple, and family.

Although this man can drives me NUTS on a regular basis.. I gotta love him! (But dont fret, I'm perfect and nothing I EVER do bothers him, haha) He's so determined, hard working, funny, honest, 'take no crap from no one kind of guy' and although at times, some of those qualities drives me up the wall..... 2 seconds later they are on the long list of reasons why we get along so well.
I'm so proud of him and all that he's done in his life and is striving to do. We dont know whats next, but we are excited, hopeful, learning patience, and always striving to be better people to each other, our children, our family, and our friends.

not to forget of coarse... over the 6 years of marriage we've brought into this world 2 beautiful little girls who we love so much, and we keep us laughing, exhausted, running, dancing, driving all over, cooking, CLEANING, learning patience, not getting any sleep, cleaning, and at the end of every day.. SMILING.

So, here's to our family of 4.. who started out with a crazy 18 year old, and a cradle robbin' 22 year old who tied the knot 6 years ago... lets keep keepin' it real babe! xoxo

Turkey Leg/Stuffing/and Eat what will run...

Or something like that... Thanksgiving morning, Danny decided that it would be a good idea to run like 17 miles.. but dont worry.. I talked him down to do a smaller one so Wes and Eric wouldn't die.. :) Instead they ran like 8 miles or something like that. I decided to take a cute little picture of these handsome boys before they were off on their trek.

Upon returning, they were still as handsome.. just stinky! haha. Happy Turkey Day run!
