WHAT??

Don't be fooled by the little one who you would think would just lay around and not bother anyone.. no! Last weekend, September 13, 2008 my mom and I witnessed this little Josie ROLLING OVER! That's right.. you heard me. I thought it was a fluke. But no. She since then.. within the last week has done it many times.. and tonight while I've been blogging did it again. Whenever she is doing "tummy time" it happens. She is so strong. She can move around the bed and can hold her head of for what seems like is forever. Especially since she's only just 5 weeks!! Well, hopefully she wont get too good at rolling and she'll take it easy and be a baby!

Kelli and Ellie

This weekend our friends Rachael and Chad invited us up to their family cabin up by Causey. It was so fun to just get away for a night. The girls played so well together and in the morning the dads took them for a 4 wheeling ride around the area. They had a blast. Then we came home, went our seperate ways, and met up at our house for dinner. The girls were having so much fun. They watched a movie up in our bed with popcorn while the adults had dinner and played games. Then they joined us down stairs and Kelli was teaching Ellie how to be naughty!
As you can see in the picture... and mind you Kelli does this often... she climbs up on the back of our couch and jumps off... Its quite entertaining especially since after every time she'll ask you, "hey! Is that cool?"
As the night wore on Ellie was a little more reserved.. she'd stand up there and would gradually slide down..
and then Kelli would jump off without a care in the world... Kelli would also offer her services to Ellie and say.."here I'll help you.." and she'd push her off. Normally, we would get mad at her for pushing but Ellie thought it was great so they were having a good time.
ps. look at the air she's getting. You'd think she was on a tramp. We'll need a new couch soon I'm sure but you're only a kid once.

Ballet/Tap

During spring and summer I had Kelli in a gymnastics class to get some of that energy out, but they were "mommy and me" classes... and I was so over that with having to have Josie with me now. So I found a dance studio in farmington that took 2 1/2 year olds and older to do ballet and tap and once a month gymnastics. I was stoked! She loves it but I love to watch her run around in this pink leo and tutu. She loves to put her toes up on the ballet bar. She thinks thats just the "silliest" thing in the world! Its the best hour I could ask for to have to myself once a week...

Helpin' Papa

My dad was helping Danny do the lawn before a storm rolled in.. and Kelli decided that she needed to help papa mow the lawn. She was working so hard that night!

ps: Look at our garden. We planted it late into the summer and we didn't think it was going to work out.. but lo and behold! We are miracle workers.. and now we have an abundance in a lot of squash and tomatoes. ha ha.

What the?!?!

Kelli has her quiet time where she watches one of her favorite shows.. either Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, or Curious George. (she will actually sit still for those..) I came downstairs and she had got her blanket and was sitting in Josie's bouncer/swing just totally mezmorized by the tv. It was pretty funny! She isn't allowed to sit in it.. so she thought she was being sooo sneaky!

Sleeping

Here is Josie sleeping safe and sound in her swing/bouncer. She is just like me.. I have to have a blanket right next to my face.. and my arms by my face or above my head. Kind of weird.. and sadly that weird thing was past on to both of my daughters.
You gotta love the bow though!!

Labor Day

For Labor Day we had my brother Steven and his family come over, and my sister Michelle and her family come over for a BBQ and some games. Everyone really got into RockBand. It was so much fun to have everyone come over and its always entertaining to watch my family play games... we get really into it!
