Pre School Graduation

Kelli graduated from Pre-school! I can't believe it. Not that she graduated obviously, but that the next phase in her life is Kindergarten! I can't believe she is getting so big. Kelli LOVES school. She can't hardly wait for the day that she starts Kindergarten. I hope her love of learning stays with her forever. Her award from her teacher, Miss Brenda, was "The Happiest Preschooler"-- which doesn't shock me one bit. She loves to go and learn, to be with her friends, and to bring home art work and talk about everything that she's learned that day. She was so eager to go to school... and less eager to come home. She learned lots of fun songs while at preschool that helped her remember her nursery rhymes, and how to spell colors and other words. She's started to read, and just the other day, read the book, "hop on pop"

"Thanks" Miss Brenda, for being such a great teacher, and for teaching Kelli the basics of school.
(Her cousin Nate was also in her class which was fun for her to have a lil' buddy to go with.)

Easter Sunday 2011

Easter Sunday... Spent at Grandma and Grandpa Bull's house. All the kids were able to be there and be together. We had a Easter Egg Hunt in the basement because the baskyard was a little wet and flooded. Here are a few pics of the kids we had when we had them... and getting the safety instructions from Grandma for the basement easter egg hunt... and of course the anticipation of waiting on the stairs... Classic Bull Moment... It was lots of fun, filled with lots of family, lots of food, lots of dessert, and lots of backrubs. :)

So. Cali Trip

We were suppose to be going down to Southern Cali for Danny, my bros, and my cousins to all run in the Ragnar... but due to 1/2 of the team bailing out two weeks before the big race, they all had to drop out. But nothing will get in the way of me going and eating my Vinces and Thrifys ice cream... so the trip was still in the works. We had so much fun.. we met my parents and went to Vinces... (so delicious)... and now we have another generation of lovers.. Kelli and Josie ate most of my food. They loved it, and wanted to go back the whole trip. They'd say, "lets just go back and get more spaghetti" After Vinces, we drove to Huntington Beach and spent the afternoon there just relaxing.. buried the kids in the sand a few times.. and played in the water. We walked around, and then went and picked Uncle Greg up from work and drove down to Scott and Larissas. We stayed at Scott and Larissa's and we had a blast.. between going to the beach, eating delicious food, hiking, late night mallow roasting, & swimming in the pool... the kids were exhausted on a daily basis and it was FANTASTIC! They are the best hosts ever and we always love spending time with them. It was super warm weather which made things that much better!

(pictures are all outta order.. but here are just a few pictures that I was able to take.. I didn't always have my camera because its so big, its kind of a pain to carry around!)

So, the photo of Josie in the hot tub... she was trying to smile for the camera while her mouth was under the water.. she'd just sit there with her mouth under and her nose out, so she could breathe.. Kelli was nervous to be in the pool at first.. but by the time we were done.. Scott had taught her to run and do a cannon ball into the pool.. along with screaming.. "CANNON BALL!"

The end of the vacation, Greg and his roommate Steven, drove down for a bbq and some hot tub and thrifys. It was SO good to see everyone.. and I'm trying to work out how to get back down there...

Tired?

Lately Josie has been falling asleep in the most random places, or positions... you know you are tired... when you just slump over and fall into a deep sleep...Poor thing.. maybe she should sleep in past 6:30 am in the mornings?! She doesn't take naps because that would just wire her.. and she wont go back to bed til 11 at night. Here are just a couple cute pictures of her slumped over from exhaustion.

Sunday Hike

Well, Danny had his 2nd day off of the year last Sunday, and so what I thought was going to be a lazy, relaxing, Sunday afternoon.. turned out to not be that.. Danny wanted to go on a hike... so we took our girls up to hike Adams Canyon.
Kelli walked the entire time, and was running up all the switch backs, and having a good time exercising, and being fit (so she said)... and Josie held her own most of the time.. Danny put her on his shoulders only a couple times, and she walked up the rest of the way! We went up to the bridge, and let them throw rocks in the water, and they were having so much fun.. til the wind started to pick up, and he had to hike back outta there. Josie decided that she was going to RUN down the entire mountain, so Danny and I had to run after the two Lil' monsters. I was worried Josie was going to biff it, but she didn't! She held her own, and was so excited, and was laughing hysterically the whole way down. Here are a few photos from our little adventure.

Sound of Music

For Christmas, my brother in law bought me, 'The Sound of Music".....I happen to put it on one morning, and my children were glued. What 2 year old sits through that long of a movie???? MY TWO YEAR OLD. She is IN LOVE with the movie. She would watch it every day, many times a day, if I'd let her.. (not gonna lie, I have let her on occasion)

She loves it! She can act out all the parts, and her and Kelli will sing along to every song, march, and dance in the movie... These two are hilarious! I have taken video and photos before, but my children hate clothing.. so its probably not appropriate to put those on.. so finally.. Eric and Wes were back up for the weekend, clothing was on.... and we put on their favorite part..
As you can see... Josie knows all the right poses..

Danny was able to take the perfect shot of her.. right near the end of one of her dances..

Ps: Yes I am aware of the clothing my children have on..... but like I said before.. atleast they have clothes ON! We take anything around here!

Dedication and Hard work

This post in LONG OVER DUE but Alas..... I'm finally doing it!

Its titled Dedication and Hard work because that is exactly what went into this. Danny decided to go all in and do the P90X program... he had tried it before, and in the first month lost 25 lbs. but then the holidays came around and he went off it, and gained weight back. A year later, he decided to give it a go again... It involved exercising every single day.. even if it ment waking up at 5 AM to get in his 90 minutes of yoga before work. We followed the diet and he brought his meals to work in tupperwares and over all we have made major LIFE STYLE CHANGES.

All and all... he wanted to be a better dad, to have more energy, and to flat out feel better about himself. The Grand Total of weight loss was 54 pounds and he is now skinnier than he was when we tied the knot over 6 years ago! He runs daily, rides his bike to and from work when its good weather, and is running the Ragnar in southern California in April, and is planning on doing an Ultra Marathon the end of July thats a 50K (and for you AMERICANS who dont measure things with a K on the end.. its 31 miles..) He even won 2nd place in a Kroger Company weight loss challenge. There are over 100,000 Kroger employees. Wahoo Babe! We won a new Ipod Nano.

I'm super proud of him and all that his accomplished. He's a hard worker and always has been, and I'm proud of his decision to lose weight, keep it off, and to keep me and my ice cream eating problems in check.
(before and after photos)

Good job babe! I love you!!! xoxo
