Cuddle Cats

To say that Kelli loves to be able to play with kittens is a huge understatement! She enjoys them so much and its just so funny to see her try and entertain them... she'll say, "come on kitties!" and run away and expect them to come running after her. Well her dream came true when she was watching a movie on her "chair" and they both came up and snuggled with her. Duke (the one with white paws) was over it pretty fast, but Oscar stayed for a little bit longer. Here are some snap shots of that!

TWINS??

Well, not quite. We adopted two male kittens over the weekend. I hear you aren't suppose to make any huge changes while you're pregnant. ha ha. Oh well. They are so cute. They are brothers and look almost alike. One has white feet and one has brown. We went to just get one and when they handed us both of them and asked which one we wanted, we couldn't decide. So Danny decided we'd better get both! Plus when they told us they are best friends and sleep together and cuddle and play all the time together, it was like ripping my heart out. The push over that I am, I went ahead and got both of them. They are so much fun and Kelli just loves them to death. So far she's been soft and hasn't really tried to pick them up or hurt them. She wants them to be with her wherever she goes and I'm sure sooner or later they will start to follow her every move. We are excited about the new addition and are looking forward to watching them grow and to see Kelli interact with them as well. Wish us luck! The one with the white feet we named, Duke. And the one with the brownish feet we named, Oscar.

It's a GIRL!!!

Well, we had our doctors appointment a couple weeks ago and the doctor confirmed that we are having another beautiful girl! We are so excited that Kelli is going to have a sister close in age. Danny was especially excited cause we could use a lot of Kelli's old clothes! Save money... ha ha. We are really excited for her to join us in August and look forward to seeing what she looks like. Here are some pictures of her..

The top picture is of her belly, head, and spine. You can really see the spine along the bottom. And the bottom is a picture of her hand, and then of her two cute little feet. She's definatly getting really active and starting to really keep me up at night either from moving around a lot or sleeping on my bladder!! It's so much fun!!

Amazing!!

This is Kelli eating her lunch one day.. she is by far the worst eater EVER! It's a joke in my family because once Kelli is done eating, we have to bust out the vacuum and mop. No joke. Well, she was eating lunch and she didn't make a huge mess! We had to document this joyous landmark in her life. It only happened once, but still.. Once is better than never right? She always has a fork or a spoon next to her plate, but she can't seem to get quite enough food on it so she uses her hand to fill her fist up with a handful of food to shove into her face. After every meal..... is a bath, or going through a lot of wet wipes to get her looking decent! She's so cute though, and look at those Long, Wavy Locks. Its all natural.

Note: She still made a mess, but I only had to use a wet rag to clean it up. There are some battles I'm willing to have with a 1 year old but eating clean isn't one of them... she'll learn later when she gets older. You can always clean up a mess, but having a quiet meal while she enjoys herself, is worth cleaning it up afterwords to me.

"Yee-Haw"

Kelli loves to ride on her rocking chair and I walked in on her saying, "yee haw!"..... then I noticed that she was holding her baby. She just doesn't want any of her lil' friends to miss out on all the fun things she does. You should see her rock out on this horse! She's gone all the way forward on it cause she's rockin' so hard. She also now knows the lyrics to, "home, home on the range"... its the song the horse plays when you are riding it.

In the bottom picture she's yelling at me to "sit down".... she now loves to perform!

Kelli and Cookie

As I've once told you all, Kelli is obsessed with her Cookie Bear. She was watching cartoons and she went and got her chair from her room and a "blanket/towel" to wrap up cookie bear. She told me it was "cold".... even though outside it was about 60 deg. ha ha. She's going to be a great older sister. She is so into caring for her babies and 'Cookie bear'.

Best Friends

Kelli and Tyler played so well together on our trip to Cali. When we got home, every time we'd pass a little boy in the store she'd start yelling.."TYLER!!!!" and when the boy wouldn't respond Kelli would get so heart broken, and look at me like.."whats going on?" She looks at pictures of Danny's family all the time and goes through everyones names but she gets so excited when she sees Tyler. Here is a candid shot of the two of them on the swing in the backyard... it's a rare oppertunity to get both of them sitting for longer 2 seconds.... Hence.... all the toys piled up. Thanks Tyler for playing so well with Kelli. We miss you all so much!!

California Here We Come!

Last week we had the oppertunity to go to Northern California to visit Danny's family. It was a quick trip but it was a lot of fun. We miss them a lot and wish we could see all of them more often but we will definatly take what we can get! It was a lot fun to see Kelli playing with her cousin Tyler. They played so well together. We were also able to spend a couple days with Danny's grandma, Iona. I wish I would of had my camera with me 24-7 because Kelli did so many funny things. Here are just a few pictures of our lil' getaway.

Blocks

Kelli loves to build things and for a few weeks now Danny has been searching for some wooden blocks. Finally, after weeks of searching we found some blocks at Toys'r'us and she couldn't wait to bust them open when we got home. We waited for Danny to get home, and Danny and Kelli sat and played in Kelli's room for what seemed like forever. Her favorite part was definatly waiting for Danny to build a tower and then she'd knock it down and say, "OH MAN!"

Cookie Bear!

For Christmas, my mom gave Kelli and all the grand kids these very soft stuffed animals. Kelli was appropriately given the bear with the name of "COOKIE". She now doesn't go anywhere without this bear and doesn't go to sleep without it. Now, not only do I have to carry a bag of cookies with me, but I know have to carry Cookie bear, a baby, a baby bottle, and sometimes a purse with cell phone and make up. I dont know how I'm going to be able to carry around another kid with me when apparently I already have two! If you ever want to see a real Mary Poppins bag.... come take a look at my purse. You'd be amazed at what I can jam into that thing!

Making cookies!

I like to think of myself as a pretty good cook when my husband lets me enter the kitchen. He loves to cook and create, so by all means... have at it. I just do it cause we need to eat and I dont entirely LOVE to cook. Something that I do love is baking! (mainly cause I like to eat the dough) Danny loves it when I make cookies and so do my brothers which is why I try to send a bag full up to the meeting place (my parents) so they can all partake. Kelli has always been very fond of cookies and if she's ever throwing a temper and we are out to dinner you will see me pull out a small zip lock bag of cookies cause it will give us a few quiet mintues. Kelli loves to help in the kitchen and loves to help add in the ingredients and turn the mixer on....

I was able to catch her in these pictures doing what she loves the most.. just like her mom in so many ways.. this is Kelli eating some of the cookie dough off the mixer! (I was just recently informed that there was a snitch in the family and my neice Lyza told on me that I let her eat the dough. She was making cookies with her grandma Nay and asked for some dough. Her grandma said.."oh we dont eat the dough"... and Lyza said..,"NEE NEE always lets me have some dough!" I always told her not to tell.. and that it was our little secret. It just goes to show you.. no secret is ever safe with a 2 year old!)

Happy Valentines Day!

Kelli's favorite thing to do is of coarse make a mess so when she was done coloring she decided to dump all the crayons we had just picked up. Following she yells..."oh no!! A MESS!!!" Its such a fun little game and I love getting to play it ALL THE TIME!!
Kelli is definatly becoming a 'Big Girl' but she doesn't fully understand everything about the holidays. She was so excited for Valentines Day when I pulled out her favorite disney show cards of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She got right to work with coloring and putting stickers onto the cards. I must admit that she ended up with her face covered in more stickers than she used but its the thought that counts right?!?!

After she was done putting together the little packages of cards and candies we were able to go to a Valentines Party with all of her little cousins and extended cousins to exchanged v-day cards. She had so much fun. I love that she's getting big enough to understand things that are going on and that she gets so excited about them. Its sad to see her growing up so fast but I love watching her learn and get lost in her own thoughts and imagination.
